Growing up in Virginia Beach there were only two styles of dressing. Very preppy or Urban. Middle school and most of high school were dominated by two looks: XXL Jeans and an oversized tee or Hollister and American Eagle logos on every surface. And everyone wore it. I liked my jeans to be skinny and my shirts fitted. In My junior/senior year of high school my final project was to create my own business, so I decided to go with a men’s clothing boutique. That’s when fashion really began to stick with me. When I got to High Point people finally started to transition out of the baggy clothes, into a slimmer fit style. But After a few months/year everyone just walked around looking like the mannequin from their favorite store, no originality. And me, I always wanted to design my own clothes, I used to make designs in my high school classes when I was bored. In college I got the perfect opportunity to create my style, my clothes. In my senior entrepreneurship class we had a project to create our own business with a business plan.
That’s when Three Scooops was created, I spent countless hours thinking of a name and logo for my new product. Luckily, I had a very talented group of friends who helped design Parker and the web presence for us to exist.
As everyone threw around names, random ideas and concepts I knew I wanted these clothes to feel like the beach/Virgina beach - comfortable and relaxed, So I thought why not add a sense of style to that. It wasn't easy to start up, there were many ups, downs, and prototypes, still today I have a ton of ideas that don’t make it. After my first scooop of shirts I knew I had a product that was comfortable and stylish with a relaxed mentality.
