Who Am I Doing This For?

Who Am I Doing This For?

What's good ya'll? We appreciate you stopping thru, we know it's been a minute.

As we all know 2020 has been a whirlwind and we're only seven months in! On January 1st, none of us signed up for this seatbelt-less rollercoaster ride. Don't worry, this isn't going to be a political blog about masks or no masks, instead its about what you believe when you look into the mirror. Right now, we truly see how oversaturated the world is with thoughts and opinions, but the one true question is, "What do I believe and agree with?". Not what the news, your boss or your family says, but what your own heart says.

This isn’t just about your thoughts on the Rona, it's about your views and values as a person. Do you truly believe what you believe? Or is it just how you were raised? Maybe its beliefs you carried throughout your life without ever questioning "Why?". Don't be afraid to go searching for answers -- even if the answers are unpopular! At the end of the day, only you can answer the question, "Who/what am I doing this for? Does it line up with my true beliefs?"

So we challenge you for the next week, at the end of each day, to ask yourself, "How much of today did I live for myself?". We know, we know, this sounds super selfish when you say it out loud. But if you live your entire life only accomplishing what other people want you to accomplish, and believing what others want you to believe, did you really live your life? Now we're not saying just run off and do whatever the hell you want -- always move with a focus and a plan, otherwise you can end up stranded in no man's land. When we say "live for myself" it doesn’t mean it has to be all about you. The phrase asks you to describe how you feel about the time and energy you’ve spent on whatever you wanted to do...was it worth it? If the answer is yes, hopefully you’re filled with joy to continue the next day. If the answer is no, it’s okay...let’s take time to re-evaluate.

We'll end today's post by saying you can always wonder about the "what if" or you can question, research and come up with your own beliefs and conclusions by taking action and educating yourself. You may not find the answers you want, but with each question you'll get closer to knowing your truth.

We hope you enjoyed today's post, stay comfy and be safe out here!
